Privacy policy

Durham Crack Repair ("we") is a referral service that connects homeowners in Durham Region, Ontario with independent foundation repair contractors. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your choices. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Form requests: your name, phone number, email (optional), town, the problem you describe, and anything you add in the message box.
- Phone calls: if you call our number, your phone number and the call date, time and length. Calls may be recorded for quality and to confirm referrals. You'll hear an announcement at the start of any recorded call.
- Basic site data: our host (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the site. We don't use advertising cookies or sell data.
How we use it
- To pass your request to one independent foundation repair contractor that serves your area, so they can contact you about it. That's the purpose you consent to when you submit the form or call.
- To follow up on the quality of the referral, and to keep records of referrals made.
We don't sell, rent or share your information with anyone else, and we don't add you to marketing lists.
The contractor
Once we pass your request on, the contractor uses your information to contact you, assess the problem and quote. They're an independent business responsible for their own handling of your information.
How long we keep it
We keep referral records for up to 24 months, then delete them. Call recordings are kept for up to 90 days.
Where it's stored
Our website, forms and phone service use providers (such as Cloudflare and Twilio) that may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible under local law.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to further use, by emailing help@durhamcrackrepair.ca. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
